A very late edit: My wife is type O but my wife and daughter had some blood mixing in the womb and my daughter developed antibodies against my daughter so she could not be a donor to her because organ rejection would take place right away.

O is the universal kidney donor type (just like O is universal blood donor.) O can donate to A which can donate to B which can donate to AB (so AB can receive from O, A, and B.)
