Cat 6 comes in both unshielded and shielded cable, so saying it is shielded is invalid as a blanket statement. For a home environment shielded is rarely necessary. If shielded is needed, the runs have to be checked as the ground line connected between pieces of equipment can create ground loops that will introduce their own interference.

Thanks everyone. I just re-examined the lines Iran several weeks ago....and a good thing too. The electricians came back to my home several times and ran power directly over my wires. I had to move them to avoid the EMI.
