[quote prof]So I downloaded Tempature Monitor and did some checking.
At idle: Processor A averages 106. 2 F Processor B averages 101.2 F The only other reading that seemed concerning was the Memory Controller Heatsink which averaged 129.2 F Are these readings normal?? P.S.- Is it possible to do a Thermal Recalibration myself?? No, actually they're quite a bit lower than normal--probably because your fans are running full blast. ![]() You can do a thermal calibration yourself, but the problem is a) finding a copy of ASD (Apple Service Diagnostic) which is tough if you're not an Apple Authorized service shop and b) finding the right version of ASD. Plus, there's always a chance that the problem is more than just a calibration problem (a failing CPU for example), so you might as well just take it in for service which will all be on Apple's dime--except for the drive to the shop of course. |
