I'm behind on my exercise and posting. I will take care of the latter right now.

We are making our weekly visit to our trainer so getting the minimal effort there.

But we have been preoccupied with other stuff and not are getting to the gym for our regular "other" sessions.

We produced the Jane Austen Festival Ball this weekend which took up a couple of days.
Recovered on Sunday

This week we are involved with the purchase of an old house; the first section was built in 1853. We are bringing in contractors to see who is willing and able to rewire the place (knob and tube wiring with multiple splices), address some plumbing issues (gas lines, faucets, boiler), and flooring, taking out the PINK carpets and replacing them with wood floors.

Had the chimneys inspected today and needed repairs could be into five digits.

Plus time getting insurance and financing arranged. A lot of this settles down next week so we should be back to a normal exercise routine. Right now I am going out i the 90 degree heat and slowly mow the lawn; If I don't, I might never find my way back if I walk too far out (in spite of the heat, some of the grass is growing very well!)

Been traveling. First 5 days, hit 10,000+ steps each day.

Second 5 days, went to conference and caught a cold. My step progress looked like a slow death...

Back to 10,000 steps until I had to do 2 late nights at work (penalty for being gone a full business week at work).

I ended up gaining 3 lbs; ugh! Managed to see some progress yet this week.

I am not getting on you guy about not posting. I just thought we would have some new people or existing people reporting more "walking" is all.

I hope everyone can go at a pace that is comfortable to them in these hot days of summer. Stay safe everyone.

Thanks. I'm quite surprised actually. It's weird. I was at 240, and I'm a bit over 6'1" so I didn't "feel" that fat. But I knew that was bad. It was slow to start coming off. Then after I got back from Germany (lost 10 lbs there) it quickened. I have to blame (thank?) some of this on a period of bad anxiety & depression I went through the first half of this year which didn't help my appetite. It's easier to lose weight when you don't eat! :yum:
