Test,

And that's why I wouldn't consider a waterpik for rinsing sinuses. Way too sensitive and easy to damage.

My dental hygienist did NOT like the WaterPik. She said it was too easy to damage the gums. She DID like the Braun Oral-B irrigator; its' stream is gentler (but still effective).

With WP you just gotta adjust to a proper pressure. As long as you do that, the device won't bork your gums. There are a ton of attachments to deal w/ oral/dental needs, so you gotta tweak the pressure for each attachment... then remember the settings for each one that you use, so you don't bork your gums (if another attachment's setting is higher than the regular flosser attachment). As noted, WP also great for cleaning razors. Stropping helps to de-crud blades, as needed... not sure it makes much of a difference what you use, a clean blade is a happy blade.

Severe case of deep pockets from 40 years of smoking had all kinds of trouble and a couple of surgeries but finally started using a waterpik on recommendation of dental hygienist nearly ten years ago and have not had a problem since. They always say my gums are pink and healthy and to continue what I am doing (using the pik once or twice a day with fairly high pressure settings). YMMV

I've been shaving for almost 40 years and I've never even heard of "stropping".

I shave in the shower. I usually get about 2 months out of my blades. I use either Schick or Gillette multi blades. I shave every weekday, so 5 days a week.
