Is this Apple Cinema monitor a good solution?
#1
THE 27-INCH APPLE LED CINEMA DISPLAY, FEATURING A STUNNING 2560-BY-1440 RESOLUTION, LED BACKLIGHTING, AND AMAZING 178-DEGREE VIEWING ANGLE. IT CONNECTS TO ANY MAC WITH A MINI DISPLAYPORT CONNECTION. THE UNIVERSAL MAGSAFE CONNECTOR CHARGES YOUR MACBOOK, AND THREE USB 2.0 PORTS. Asking $225

I want to connect with. MacBook Pro (13-inch, Mid 2010)
Connections and expansion
MagSafe power port
Gigabit Ethernet port
One FireWire 800 port (up to 800 Mbps)
Mini DisplayPort
Two USB 2.0 ports (up to 480 Mbps)
SD card slot
Audio in/out
Kensington lock slot
Communications
AirPort Extreme Wi-Fi wireless networking2 (based on IEEE 802.11n specification); IEEE 802.11a/b/g compatible
Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR (Enhanced Data Rate) wireless technology
10/100/1000BASE-T Gigabit Ethernet (RJ-45 connector)

I also put a new battery in this one with potential graphics card issue. Will the monitor stress it out to failure?

No way. It could potentially be 7 years old.

I recommend a new 25 inch Dell Ultrasharp QHD IPS monitor such as the U2515H or one of the newer models - about $300

Depends on warranty and quality. You are paying for all of the extras (and the built-in hub and power) rather than the screen.

Its a beautiful screen. I have a USB version and the Thunderbolt version and would buy a third if I needed another monitor.

Id got 27" over 25", but closer to $400.

If you could get more info on it, like date made, how much use did it get, or see it in person, maybe. But otherwise, pass.

If I was shopping for a 1440p monitor, it would be one of the 32" displays.

$230 - Refurbished: HP Pavilion 32q IPS 32" DisplayPort/HDMI 2560x1440 @ 60 Hz
