Alex Trebek. Intelligent, professional. Minimal inane or risqué yammering. The gold standard, IMHO.

Completely agree.

Gene Rayburn on the old Match Game.

Richard Dawson on the old Family Feud.

Alex Trebeck.

The most underrated game show has to be "Let's Make a Deal." I was on vacation and caught one. Wayne Brady and Jonathan Mangum are INCREDIBLY TALENTED! They have this laser timing and somehow can conjure up comedy gold ON THE SPOT! I never knew Wayne Brady was that good. He can sing too.

Fav: Trebeck, Dawson, Groucho, & Alfonso Ribeiro (so unappreciated).

If I never see or hear Steve Harvey again it will be too soon. He sucks.
Don't get him and never found him funny especially compared to the late, great Bernie Mack. Gawd I miss Pryor, Carlin, and Charlie Murphy!

Queen Latifah or Alfonso Ribeiro would be so much better as the 'Feud' host.
(did I mention Steve Harvey sucks?)

Don’t watch game shows much anymore, but I can’t say never.

Rayburn, Dawson and Cullen were all very good; funny, but not buffoons.

Early Harvey wasn’t bad, but scraped down a little too much into the minstrel barrel for my taste. Flip side is Alex Trebek who takes himself much too seriously.

Drew Carey has a good way of having fun with the contestants, taking it just seriously enough to give a nod to this being a fairly big deal for them, and somehow still acknowledging the general absurdity of the whole thing.

Agreed.

I have no idea if he's particularly intelligent at all.

He reads every thing from cards.

'Oh, I'm sorrry, the correct answer is.... [having just looked at the card].

I'd watch Pat Sajack over Trebek.
