Regarding “invisible” AirPods and other “true wireless” earbuds ... when they fall out?

the image of leaning over the rail gave me a touch of vertigo.

I saw those in the movies, I never had one of those. What kind of batteries did they take and how long did those last?

Whats the fascination with shutting yourself off from the world?

Why do you chose to characterize it as 'fascination'?

For me, it's a matter of utility and pleasure.

Fascination has nothing to do with it.

Sometimes the rest of the world, or at least most people in it, aren't worth listening to.

D-sized batteries — mine took eight. How long they lasted depended on how often you used it and whether you favored the cassette player over the radio.

Ive seen 10 and 12 too. Radio lasted a really long time if you ddint blast it.

This is mine, still have it... detachable speakers, RCA line in, 3.5" line in, digital FW/AM display, 5 band EQ and a real sub. Actually sounds awesome. Used it for years... still think its better than any BT speaker we have bought.
