Unless you put anything other than Kosher Salt and water, there shouldn't be a taste difference, it will just be the juiciest Turkey you ever had! Not rinsing the bird after brining will turn it in to a salt lick though!

My S-I-L does the ham.
25 to 30 peoples (girlfriends/boyfriends come and go)

Due to relatives flying in from Seattle (family hospital emergency) whom I've also been requested to pick up at the airport tonight at 11:45 PM, Monday Dinner has been bumped to Sunday afternoon. Wonderful.
Repairing the damaged door (during lunch)from the cops busting in for the EMT wasn't enough.

Yet, I'm smiling.

My middle sister worked at the "HoneyBaked Ham" store in Orange County, CA, in 1990. I'll never eat one of their products again after she told me how they flavored and put the crust on the ham!

1. Unload truck filled with "Swift" bulk hams.
2. Remove plastic wrap from hams.
3. Inject hams with a mixture of spices, honey, brown sugar, molasses, and water.
4. Place ham on the "cruster" machine, which is a 55 gallon empty metal drum underneath a sifting basket suspended from the ceiling filled with spices and brown sugar.
5, Begin "crusting" procedure. Light torch, while shaking the basket, play lit torch over ham, thereby melting on the "Slow Baked Crust"
6. Wrap ham in "HoneyBaked" paper.
7. Weigh ham, print label, stick label on wrapped "HoneyBaked" ham.

In my sanitation class at culinary school the chef went on to tell a story of a student who thawed her turkey out in the dorm swiming pool because...

(drumroll...)

...that's how her Mother did it every year!

I saw a clip about that on Food Network the other day! That spiral slicer was interesting to watch.

Not enough information.
Ignore the mumbling man in the corner.

Overly full schedule and 96 yr. old relative was found lying down unresponsive in her house @ 9AM. Cops broke the locked storm door and broke a window pane in the door to un-lock it and get in. I had to run over and fix it quick. Then get relatives here from Seattle. It was a long day. I was ranting, I guess.
