How is the ice skating?

Did he not notice the significant difference in the appearance of the ice?
From his eye level on the ice, good chance he could not see the difference. That appearance change is usually more noticeable from above.
I think that because he was wearing just a bathing suit, that it was planned (and that he's an idiot).

Yep, we dodged a bullet up my way. Friend called from Flint area last night. He said they were getting hammered, much like where DP is.

We got less than an inch, and no high winds. Brutally cold though. For the last few weeks we haven't even been close to above freezing. Tonight's forecast is -8ยบ for one brrr night.

Yeah, the snow is fun but not the cold! Supposed to be -5 here tonight!

We've had snowfalls of 2 or 3 inches every few days for a while now and with the cold it hasn't melted. Last night we finally got a "storm" and it looks as tho we got another 8" on top of the foot of accumulated snow!

Here's my house this morning:

We got about the same amount in the Lansing area. Officially, they're saying 7-10" because with all the blowing you can't tell the exact amount (and the actual amount can vary over just a mile or two).

Okay, I'm impressed.
Me, too!

More skating, no breaking through the ice, though.
