Fwiw, people have now been getting haircuts for probably 8 months or so without it shown to be a high risk activity. Masks all around, and maybe double if she can.

The dead coiffed tell no tales.

(And how do you get a haircut while wearing a mask?)

This.

Confirm that the shop requires masks for everybody and sterilizes between clients. Put on the mask or two. Get the first appointment in the morning.

We've decided she's going. There are no other clients in the room. The barber wears a mask and sterilizes pretty good between clients. She had a mild documented case in December. Mom will wear a mask.

She's 90, let her do (with proper precautions) what makes her happy.
