If you're a sucker for stories from a "notorious right-wing troll"; "...a "superspreader" of fake news...".

NY Post Promotes Laughably Wrong Claim From Online Troll Accusing Jon Stewart of Fraudulently Overvaluing His Apartment

"The New York Post made the curious decision to promote Tim Pool’s laughably false accusation that Jon Stewart committed some sort of fraud regarding the 2014 sale of his Manhattan penthouse, amplifying the notorious right-wing troll’s claim to the point where Stewart’s name trended on X, formerly Twitter."

A textbook example of MAGAt troll deliberately or stupidly making a false allegation, and it being picked up and run with by an organization known and shown to be heavily biased against objectivity and fact, at a tabloid level.

And even when debunked, deniers and P45* sympathizers attempt, either deliberately or stupidly, bereft of aforementioned fact and objectivity, to blindly extract some extra yardage from a laughably false accusation.

This seems to be a pattern.

I cast Stewart and Oliver in much the same light.
Their antics get in the way of their message, but I to am not the target demographic.
I don't think I've seen him as a guest, but I'm sure I'd like that venue much better.

I agree about Oliver, too. But I've come to appreciate him much more after watching his appearance on Hot Ones.

Ok, I'll stipulate that that was a great episode of Hot Ones, and Oliver was absolutely charming and very witty.

I'll note that he only cursed, on air, three times, probably two many would say, but under the circumstances, I won't judge.

This is a far cry, LOL, from the 'show' Oliver.

I laughed at a lot of his quips, but a little more at him struggling to carry on a conversation at the end.

That was understated comedy gold.

Each step is a sauce out of the way.

He didn't say it, but he did run with it, and both of them made me laugh.

I don't watch Hot Ones much, but that was easily the best episode ever.

And it probably goes without saying, I won't be watching his show, except under some unimaginable extraordinary circumstance.

Thank you for that link: it was a lot of fun.

Yes, I guess we're sort of derailing this thread. So be it. But while there are several of those Hot Ones you might enjoy, I'll share one more link, only because this was another case of my not liking this guy at all and wanting to see him suffer...and he did. Don't know how you feel about him, but here's Gordon Ramsey on Hot Ones
