It finally got me.

Good luck. One thing that most of us have in common is that the vaccine protects us from the really nasty dose that people were getting back in the year 2000. I had a mild case one year ago (after my 6th shot, I believe) and it was a nasty cough but that was pretty much all of it. We know that Pax works but you can have a rebound because you still have a few active virus particles in your system after you have done the whole Pax course. But at least you get another 5 days to let your immune system ramp up.

I still have no fever, thankfully, and I was back to my usual 97.5° this morning with no meds since about 10 hours before.
My nose is still on overdrive for producing clear liquid. I am glad I stocked up on tissue at Costco the other day.
Occasional cough but not bad. Mostly feels like a bad head cold. Headache has thankfully let up.
Ibuprofen seems to be the best at making me feel a bit better. I only take very little, but I does help.

I have been hydrating like crazy, so hopefully that helps. Since the symptoms are not getting worse, I don’t think I will take the Paxlovid. I hope this is over soon.

Thanks for all the kind words.
