I'd look to see whether the usurper king has acquired partial ownership of any defense contractors or weapons manufacturers, and whether said organizations have the ability to, a la Stark Technologies, supply both sides.

The Ukraine needs to stall for time while Europe ramps up native defense capabilities - especially electronics and motors manufacturing for drones, I'd guess. Russia is hoping to get ahold of some "off-lease" US hardware to deplete their diminished stockpiles now that the usurper king's true allegiance is out in the open.

EU + Ukraine should eclipse Russia man power.

Russia: 2.021 trillion
US GDP: 27.72 trillion
EU GDP: 18.6 trillion

Again, EU should eclipse Russia.

You could break out just 4 european nations adjoining Russia - Poland, Norway, Sweden, and Finland and be comparably matched:

Toss in another 8 million people from the baltics and another $200 for their money... You don't even need all of Europe to fight this war. It would help if the Germans, French, Italians, Spanish, and British could lend some manpower on the ground.
