That is SOOOO true. Adding insult to injury, working payphones are almost extinct. That's actually why I finally had to climb on the cell phone bandwagon. I wish cell providers were required to maintain a certain number of payphones (and kept in working order the way Ma Bell used to before deregulation) according to their number of cell service subscribers (say, one pay phone per 1,000 cell accounts). Caller ID should be universal as well. If you don't want me to know who is attempting to intrude on me, don't call!
