Several people in this thread have mentioned troops not getting adequate mental care when they return to the states. I was told by a Salvation Army representative that their organization provides counseling for returning troops. It might be possible to put convictions into action by making a donation to them.

There may be other organizations doing the same thing that I am unaware of, and I would be glad to hear about them, but I thought I would put this bit of information forward. I am a strong believer in getting involved wether it be a donation of time or money (tooting my own horn I guess).
