My iPod Touch is the only real luxury item I seem to carry when out and about. Although I view it as a tool more than a luxury. (same with cell phone)
I don't understand the purpose of luxury items at all. If I need something, I'll buy it, but I'm always looking for the best bang for my buck. A bic pen or pencil will get my work done just as easily as an expensive writing tool costing much more. Jewelry? Expensive clothes? Blech. Used to wear it when I was young, but now I can't stand wearing the bling bling.

My bank statement?
Not serious, ouf course. But I've never carried anything either covertly or overtly that has made me feel good. If fact, not buying stuff has made me very happy many a time. I get a rush out of carrying something that I feel like I scored a deal on. So if I found a mount blanc pen at a yard sale for a nickel, I might feel pretty good carrying that. Oh, I do like holding big cashier's checks made out to me. ![]()

iPhone.
And I don't pay a red cent for it. If I *had* to pay, I wouldn't even think of getting one, too much $$. Nothing else, I'm too cheap.

stealthy car stereo
titanium utensils keychain mount blanc pen for 5¢, and other hidden deal stuff these all fit pretty well == ipod that isn't used in public regularly so that most people wouldn't know you owned one expensive clothes/shoes that nobody could tell unless they saw the label/price tag would also qualify as long as their stealthiness was maintained == jewelry would have to be hidden. a plain looking, though well-make and pricey watch might sneak in the line up if nobody knew what it really was, and wasn't inclined to ask. BGnR can use his cash, if it's a $1,000 bill (or 2 X $500's), or silver certificates if smaller denominations, and they remain hidden. I can't afford to lug around a stealthy grand in extra cash on a daily basis, but I do carry a small stash of $2 bills, including a couple of silver certificates, more for good luck, or good feeling, w/o perceiving them as a "luxury"... a $500 or $1,000 bill OTOH, would be a luxury item B)

Eyeglasses. They're inconspicuous, German, lightweight titanium. But considering our household income, they cost about the annual operating budget of NASA, compared to the eyeglasses I used to wear. Best glasses I ever had.
