It's a "real" commercial. I saw the ad on TV yesterday.
The New General Motors commercial - reminds me of an Apple campaign

I like the Jeep commercial better. Very patriotic. "This was a country where once people built things, beautiful things, so it is again".

Nice commercial.
Now if GM would make a vehicle I'd actually like to buy. ![]()

What do you GM holdouts want in a car?

"What do you GM holdouts want in a car?"
#1: Reliability; as in Toyota or Honda. With "by the manual" care, 200,000 mile service and, the body doesn't rust away. #2: Better fuel economy. I believe that for decades, US auto makers have kept mpg low to keep gas sales high. #3: Features commonly found on "foreign" cars. In some respects, many US makers now offer 4 wheel disc brakes standard but, they sure took a long time in catching up (and, there still are cars with drum brakes and other "old" technologies). #4:A dealers that treat customers fairly. Many dealers, US & foreign, act and conduct business as if they're doing the customer a favor. These are just the first thoughts that come to mind. I've actually been looking the last 1.5 years to upgrade from my 2004 Toyota Sienna XLE Limited. Everything I've seen (including the 2010 & 2011 Toyota Sienna's) leave me feeling "underwhelmed". My almost 8 year old minivan has only 80,000 miles on it and, is still running great. When I consider trade in value and, the price of a new minivan, I might as well keep what I've got for several more years (I paid cash for it back in 2003). :oldfogey: |
