My 8 year old daughter just discovered the wonder of tracing paper. So we picked up a pack at Staples.
Not sure if was mentioned above, but I've always thought those things that have a lamp and a mirror to project an image onto a piece of paper so you can then draw/trace it were pretty cool. I think they can be found pretty cheaply.
