Hmm, maybe I'll try it again, it's been unplugged overnight.
I wasn't thinking, mine is from 2006, not 2009. Will the G4 power supply work safely on the Core2Duo?

The connectors are incompatible.

The Intel Mac Mini power supply puts out 110W, you can see it on the side with the ID markings. The G4 Mac Mini power supply puts out 85W, again, it's printed on the side.
I don't know for sure if you can swap one for the other, but I wouldn't do it. Jeff

Thanks. No dice when I tried again. Apple Store tomorrow evening... do I make an appt or just show up with the machine? I've never brought anything in before.

You need an appointment at most stores.
If you don't make one in advance (especially if your time is spoken for) you'll have to make one once you get to the store. Better to do it in advance.

No appts available until I'M not available, Thursday and beyond. Catzilla, are you around tomorrow night and is your power supply the right one? I appreciate the offer... might try to squeeze this in on Thursday night but that'd be tough.

Thanks to Catzilla's help tonight, I got the 'wrong answer'-it's NOT the power supply
