garage storage thoughts?
#21
Many many reasons. More square footage in the house, gated community, pool, hot tub, three car garage, and room to park the boat. This is my end game house. I'll probably leave in a hearse. In two years according to that website we were playing with the other night.

Dave,

One workbench is 8' long. It has two legs but also has a lateral file cabinet beneath half of it. So, the center is supported. We knew the lateral file would go underneath the workbench otherwise we'd've put three sets of legs on it instead of just two. A 5' workbench has just two legs and nothing else. No problems at all. The workbenches in the warehouse are 8' long and each has three legs.

An added benefit to the legs in my link. Once you cut the plywood to length and width, the extra pieces leftover can be placed on the lower part of the legs to create a shallow shelf. That's what we did with the benches in the warehouse and we store box spacers on one of them.

The plywood is 3/4" hardwood. Came in 4' x 8' lengths, if I remember correctly.
