For a MBPr, is there a "better" choice for a cover than Speck?

Thanks for the heads up about the iPearl. $20 is not terribly expensive considering the the laptop is $3K.

I respect Robert's opinions and enjoy his reviews, but I'm picky too, and the iPearl has worked very well for me for almost a year now. No regrets. $20 well spent. I'm sure I'd like the Speck too, but this was less than half the price, and I never even notice it's on my MBPr. I didn't want to spend too much because I thought it would annoy me and I'd take it off and stuff it in a drawer most of the time. But it has only been removed once or twice for cleaning.

That said, if I'd actually visited their website (instead of purchasing from Amazon), I probably would've been scared away. Holy hell is right!

I also purchased a different cheap $10-15 no name cover (in a colorful bondi blue) for my daughter's school issue Macbook Air, and it has worked well too. It's just a cover.
