I say go with the Fellows. You seem happy with one you had and i've got one that is 12 years old and still going. The poor thing has been abused over time. The thermal fuse tripped a few times due to overuse and too thick material, and i've had to do surgery to remove jammed paper bits sometimes. I'm a believer in regular applications of canola oil (yes that is what the fellows stuff is) dribbled down the length of the slot. Also not putting more then the equivalent of ten sheets of letter sized paper in at a time and no more then five minutes of continous use at a time. My two cents.
Ps: my rule of what to shred is that anything that could be used to setup a financial or professional relationship gets shredded. So all credit card, mortgage, sell us your house, charity, unsolicted trade magazines, etc.

You used to be able to return costco.com purchases to the physical stores. I've used that route when i wasn't sure about the online stuff.

Yeah, I actually used store bought lub specifically made for shredder for my Fellows. It last as long as it did shredding similar docs like yours. No mags tho'.

I seemed to recall reading somewhere that the way to lube a paper shredder was to dribble mineral oil across a sheet of paper zig zag, and run the paper through the shredder.
