Canon BP511 or BP511a battery life ?
#1
Can someone give me an estimated lifespan of a Canon BP511 or BP511a Battery ? I'm thinking mine are about due for replacement.

I use a Canon 20D, and most of my photos are without flash

Also, while we're at it, what's the difference between the 511 and 511a ?

Thanks

I think the 511A is the Equiv. to Canons Original 511 but with a different maH rating <2000mAH >

"SterlingTek" has Great Customer Service... why not give them a call or email...?

I have a small quiver of batteries I rotate. I think I have had them going on 4yrs now

It depends on how much you use them and how you run them down. My method, Use it for 9 months to a year, sell it on ebay while they are still decent, buy new ones, repeat.

Thanks for both posts.

I've recently noticed that my battery life seems to have decreased. They are both more than a year old, but I'm sure I don't use them as much as pRICE. I've also been known to run them completely out from time to time before recharging.

Thanks again.
