Now I know how long it would take for the price to get lower than what I paid for mine (< a year). Really people, who buys toner for these things anymore -unless you need it immediately and some local store stocked it- you buy a whole new unit for a fraction of the price of toner carts. We live in a wasteful time.
Anyway, the color output is I believe as good as it gets for home lasers <4-figures, and it's been dependable for me. Processing time for photos and larger pdfs takes a while before it will print (which it does lickety split), even after maxing out the memory. That's my only knock against it.
I'd buy it again.

Maybe it just my bad luck, but my phaser (which I seldom used) crapped out just after the warranty ran out.

Sounded like the gears had slipped and were grinding away. Called xerox and it would cost more to ship, and fix than it's worth.

It really P's me off as this is the only printer I've ever had trouble with. :X
