Can regular headphones be used with Shuffle?

It only works with bluetooth headphones. Another option is to hold the headphone port right up to your ear or attach it to your head with a rubber band and you can hear it slightly.

I don't have a particular set in mind. I would rather not use ear-buds. Don Quixote gave me the answer. Thanks for the help.
