It would be even nicer if it sent the data to your Mac where you could save it and play with it.

some have data ports where you can capture it yourself. Where is that iPhone tricorder kit, anyways?

A number of years ago I bought my late husband a Davis Weather Station for Christmas. There is Mac software available that will record the data to computer, but it's pricey, so I never bought it. Typical of my timing, I bought the Davis about a year before Oregon Scientific and many others started producing less expensive units. It was kind of an expensive "toy", but he liked having it, and I've been enjoying for a number of years now, too. At least it still works!
If you guys don't have something like this, treat yourselves. They're fun.

Yes, I bought the Davis one, too. I was pretty pleased with it, all in all.
Their customer service was also pretty good, imo.

No. As it was a gift and they never had a computer, there was no need.
