Buying RAM
#11
Of the vendors I've bought memory from, I've had to return to 3-4 of 'em...
The one with the LEAST problem doing so was OWC.
So I've stuck with them.

That, and they know MAC memory.. If I'm unsure of what RAM a particular Mac needs, I can just ask them what to get, and I don't have to worry about some phone jockey reading the wrong line and shipping the wrong RAM.. (which has happened to me).

Yeah, there ARE plenty of great vendors...
But generally, I'll give OWC first shot at my RAM business.

This ain't about my wallett; this is about the effects of my spending.

If it were about my wallett...I wouldn't need this thread.

You may all now tell me I'm seriously overthinking this.

Edit: I was going to change the spelling, but then I just decided to make everything consistent.

Walmart toilet bowl brush $6.99
Local mom and pop shop toilet bowl brush $8.99
By buying local I can (and will) clean my throne with pride.

Snap in those RAM sticks with pride. Buy from OWC.

How's your sex life? I have a feeling there are other issues goin on here...
I'm KIDDING.

I think I paid $189 for last 2 GB's from OWC.
I know they stand behind there ram.
They will also have records of your deal if you lose
yours.

One can not live on there laurels. Maintaing a standard of excellence
is is still held in high esteem. Which can be found at smalldog and a few others.

Even Crucial although much more expensive has provided me very good ram.
Just my .000002 cents, and it is still kind of a crap shoot *(:>*

Been pleased with the SAmsung ram from OWC, I also buy a lot of 256MB pulls from Ebay, typically $5 a stick. Start with a pair of 1GB sticks and use 256's in the other 6 slots in a G5 to make 3.5GB cheap
