[iPad Mini Day Continues!] 3 iPad mistakes that the iPad Mini needs to fix

Silvarios,

The downside is the performance. Edge is barely adequate for any of the tasks you described o the point that it'd be frustrating. On the plus side, it'd inspire people to subscribe to a data plan that offers better performance because they couldn't deal with Edge service.

Unless you are sending a large attachments, email should be fine. Likewise, IM, Messages, and A-GPS locking should be fine. I can understand someone quibbling with web browsing, but sticking to mobile sites makes the experience tolerable.

I still use EDGE quite a bit. Saving battery life is the main reason I toggle off 3.5G. Such basic connected services that I described work well enough. No real complaints. I would be ecstatic to have free EDGE speed connectivity, say 256kbps down. Option to buy faster access would be fine as an upsell

The 7 inch form factor is better for one-handed reading than the full iPad.

Think paperback vs hardback.

If they can hit the $250 pricepoint, then they could make this an IBook and not an iPad.

sounds good to me...free everything! I wonder how long the line would be for free iPads?

Remember that an iPod Touch newest generation cheapest model is $299.
