Thousands on Medicare lose cancer treatments

This is an example of the free market regulating medical expenditures. Let them eat cake is what the Republican House of Representatives is saying.

Obama should have considered the consequences before he demanded the sequester.

Transcript from 2009:

Dennis S: It shouldn't really matter to you, since you already have guaranteed social health insurance for life.

swampy: Assumptions and presumptions, Dennis. You don't have a clue what I care about.

Dennis S: I know you don't care about almost 50 million people and their families.

swampy: You're right, Dennis. I don't give a flying fark.

The article indicates the benefit cut is actually a payment cut not to recipients but to doctors/clinics that buy and store the drugs. So this is hurting their profits and passing along that loss to recipients.

So far as I've heard, my mom's Medicare benefits won't be reduced. Maybe her doctor/hospital can better shoulder the costs.
