There was a year in my youth when Hepatitis A was very common. I like many picked it up, it is Extremely contagious. Poop white and pee the color of coffee, quarantined for 2 weeks. Treatment back then was quarantined, fat free diet, soft boiled eggs, cottage cheese, dry toast, skim milk, etc. but with swollen liver you didn't have much of an appetite.
