Millions of law abiding citizens buy, trade and sell guns at places like gun shows or with licensed dealers. Millions of firearm enthusiasts own dozens or even hundreds of various pistols, revolvers, rifles, shotguns.
Several years ago I was working in Rural Texas at an event on a ranch. The owner of this 1500 acre ranch had a rule for anyone who wanted to roam the walking paths around the home near or after dusk. "Each groups much have at least one adult in the group and at least one adult must be armed." As a 1500 acre ranch, there is a lot of wild live including rattlesnakes and bobcats. This man had several gun safes with at least 10 shotguns and 6-8 pistols, plus several other guns for him to loan adults who wanted to enjoy the scenery, safely. Lots of deer type animals and wild goats and pigs are all safe, just yell at them or clap loudly and they move along, but bobcats and snakes are dangerous, hence the firearm rule.
I wonder how many firearms this man owned that were for his personal use and now tools for ranch use and guests ?

Bobcats and rattlesnakes…
- Bobcats are extremely afraid of humans and easily scared off in the highly unlikely chance of encountering one.
- If you can see any snake you can avoid it; if you can’t see it a gun isn’t going to help you (and how many could actually hit a snake firing a handgun at it?).
When you love guns, anything is a target.

So guests on the ranch can trust you and ignore the life long rancher and his property and experience?

Imagine that, a link to the web site of a company that sells ammunition claiming that people should buy ammunition. :RollingEyesSmiley5:
I repeat... When you love guns, anything is a target.

if you cannot handle a firearm safely, just let another adult deal with any rattlesnakes they come across while exploring the natural beauty, waterfalls, fauna, deer, birds, sunsets and trails.
BTW, the 9mm handgun ammo at the link is designed to protect from snakes, rodents etc, or just carry a shotgun.

A couple of decades ago, I had a friend with a low-powered rifle. He used it to shoot at squirrels in his walnut tree because (he claimed) they ate the unripe walnuts. (He did not harvest/eat walnuts.)
He shot holes in the sides of all of his neighbors' homes and broke a bunch of windows. I don't know that he ever nailed a squirrel.
Managed not to get arrested, but his neighbors were not happy about it and several of them bought their own guns for "protection." From him.
When you have a hammer, everything looks like a nail.
When you have a gun, everything is a target.
When you don't have a gun and your crazy neighbor has a gun, who can blame you for buying a gun?

Bobcats maybe rare in your community, but in others, such as ranches in Texas, ranchers pay hunters to eradicate bobcats that pray on deer, goats and grandchildren.
Almost as many people get bitten by rattlesnakes as get shot by criminals each year. So it makes sense to protect yourself when you in areas where we know rattlesnakes are common. Think of it like wearing body armor when visiting Austin Illinois or Baltimore. Just being smart

Here is Boca we just had a guy arrested for drunk driving, his 5th arrest for it. Badly injured two innocent people in the car he slammed into. Seems the best way to keep drivers safe from drunk drivers is to keep sober drivers off the road. That's how gun control works. I mean everyone is a sober driver..........until they are not, right?

Driving is highly regulated and licensed and ENFORCED.
Your constant attempts to make false equivalencies only shows how desperate you are to hide the inadequacies of your your arguments promoting the deregulation of firearms.
It's long since time you went elsewhere to do your self-flagellation.
You KNOW nobody here is buying what you're selling. Why don't you save that BS for another forum?
