And a Happy, food-filled day to you all!

I'm roasting up some yams and squash and onion for a potluck thanksgiving my attractive (but alas way-to-young for me) next-door neighbor invited me to. So I'm not sure exactly what I am going to be having. Hopefully, everyone else won't also bring yams and squash.

Edit: I suppose it's time to lose the Halloween outfit.

After 7 hours of driving in the rain and traffic, downing a few of these with my inlaws really hit the spot:

Did you drive through the same rain as I did on the Penna turnpike? Actually, my wife was driving.

Good old Arhn City. Does it still taste like old sponge?

Happy Turkey Day to everyone here.

We were woken up this morning at about 5:30am by my 4yo son saying the lightening woke him up. Fortunately, he went back to bed for an hour or so. I am thankful for some rain today, though.

I'm about to head to the store to get some last minute ingredients for my wife's broccoli casserole pie and sweet potatoe casserole. We are headed over to her best friend's parents house in a few hours.

Have already done some shopping online and plenty of relaxing so far.

[quote PeterB]LOL ... very amusing suggestions, but I'm afraid I ended up with the old standby: German chocolate cake. I wanted gingerbread, but there wasn't any at the market when I went today. Gelato and green tea/garlic ice cream, dang, that's what I would have wanted instead, since I can't eat the chocolate.

And yes, I would guess gumbo will be on the menu. As well as Gruyère, gazpacho, goulash...
I was going to mention that Gerbils start with G but figured it would be in bad taste. An besides, your guys would be safe anyway (hopefully next year won't be an H-themed meal) Wink
