(CNN) -- President Bush made a farewell visit Sunday to Baghdad, Iraq, where he met with Iraqi leaders and was targeted by an angry Iraqi man, who jumped up and threw shoes at Bush during a news conference.

Among Muslims, throwing shoes at someone, or sitting so that the bottom of a shoe faces another person, is considered an insult.

The man was dragged out screaming after throwing the shoes. Bush ducked, and the shoes, thrown one at a time, sailed past his head during the news conference with Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki in his palace in the heavily fortified Green Zone.

I gotta admire Bush's ability to express some humor in what must have been a very tense moment.

"Bush said: "That was a size 10 shoe he threw at me, you may want to know."

Reading at FoxNews the offender was identified.

Bush looked drunk throughout the entire clip, with slurred speech, a dull stare, and generally slow movement and reactions. The misplaced attempt at humor came off as drunken behavior as well in context.
What's going on with his health? Maybe there's more to the low profile he's been keeping lately.

He could be ill, but I doubt that he'd let the world know it. I've noticed a slow down in his speech and walk. He's sure to be very very tired.

The man has the blood of hundreds of thousands of innocents on his hands swampy. He charged into a war in the wrong country and devastated it for his own personal gain and for those around him.
Respect has to be earned. His was squandered long ago. He has disgraced the office, and frankly I find it un-american that you're not willing to celebrate your freedom to acknowledge that.

For his own personal gain... What has he gained? The hatred and derision of his fellow Americans? Yeah, that is really something to shoot for. You know, I don't recall a hue and cry when Tommy Franks set the troops loose on Iraq. Where were all you naysayers then? Hind sight is 20/20.
