With no sound (no sound might be on my end) and certainly not enough video, that kid was fine.
battle of wills.
Mom wins with brute force and the kid was probably enjoying the ride.
That's not going to work when junior gets bigger.
I rather doubt mom was arrested on that little snippet of video.

Sound in the video would have helped a lot.
Was the kid laughing or crying?
Quiet or yelling.
Too bad they haven't yet taken up my idea for licensing parents.

It appears that this child will grow up to always need someone else to control his behavior - cops, prison system, an overbearing wife. This is no way to handle poor behavior - nor is it a way give your child a free circus ride. Circumstances and poor judgment aside, this is likely a small window into the way this parent treats her child. Sad.

You know what's sad?
You have absolutely nothing to support any of your suppositions, yet you jump to your conclusions, regardless.
THAT's sad. How did your parents treat you?

Woah.. things just got a whole lot personal in here
Actually, this is no more than comparing two situations at the same level. Many conclusions were jumped to, and I'm curious as to what might have lead to that, since it was posited that the mothers behavior in the video is going to damage the child.
Yes, some of the comments in your link are interesting. Others show the same lack of objectivity and leaps to conclusions unsupported by the video.
I haven't determined whether the mother is good or bad other than noting that some play can be misinterpreted by viewer unfamiliar with the dynamics. From what I see, the obvious signs of abuse one would expect to see are not in fact present.
Yet people still make claims that they cannot substantiate. Apparently many people here, there, and everywhere get a thrill out of making baseless pronouncements, especially when they're pejorative.
I have to wonder what fuels such predilections.

Wow! I sure needed to be put in my place this morning!! Thank you! Most of us who treat each other humanly recognize that some things are just as they appear. Humiliating and demeaning. Tell me any way in which this is acceptable.
BTW - my parents weren't perfect -neither am I as a parent or a person. Leaves room to grow - and you have increased my learning curve significantly!
