My family shops at Aldi for 90% of our food. We save lots o' $$$ Before they took debit cards, when they required cash, we brought cash. It was worth the hassle. Just keep a quarter handy in your car.

Dakota, the "hoops" keep their prices low. No need to pay anybody to retrieve carts. No need to pay 3% on every credit card transaction to Big Plastic. Plenty of low-cost, quality alternatives to inflated name brands with massive advertising budgets. Trust me, Aldi is not a eurosocialist plot. It's capitalism all the way.
