what's up with people that can't take care of OS install disks?
#1
From time to time, I resell small numbers of Mac OS install CDs / DVDs that I either purchase, get from friends, etc. I'm always amazed at how poorly people have treated the discs--usually lots of scratches, all sorts of crud on the packaging, sometimes boxes and manuals are torn, etc. I suppose the same could be said of the way many people treat music CDs and movie DVDs as well. Since I have these discs for the sole purpose of resale, I often need to discount based on condition.

It boggles my mind how people treat a $129 piece of Mac software the same as a DVD they find in the $5 discount bin at wallyworld.
