I would agree that any recent iMac would kick the G5's butt, however I'm with chopper on this one. My Dual 2.0 G5 still gets the job done for me, and these days that job is increasingly just checking email, mixing audio and some video digitizing. Of course there are 8 slots for RAM in this model and I have managed to fill them up over the years fairly cheaply, topping out at 4.5GB right now. Any serious rendering needs I have can be done at work on the MacPro so it's hard to justify buying a new computer that I don't really need. Soon though... since I can't run the latest OS on it I imagine there will be some more serious roadblocks in the future with it.
