Apple kicking other computer companies while they're down

Wait... if Apple has 47% -- then how can this statement be true?

"given just how many Windows PC companies combined command so much more market share"

Revenue share means they make 47% of the profit - not that they sell 47% of the units. That's why the number is so astonishing. They make almost half of the money in the US computer market with such small market share.
Just reread what I typed, and what I should have said is that Apple takes in 47% of the money spent on computers. Profit, obviously, has more to do with how the company is run internally than simply their gross numbers.
