Late to the party, upgrading from Leopard to the snowy cat, what do I need to know?

I have Snow Leopard on my laptop but still have the original Leopard on my Mac Pro. No problems going between the two. The only thing I don't like about Snow Leopard is how, when I right-click to close an app from the dock, how the whole screen goes dark. Just can't get used to that, but otherwise no issues.
