prof -- also check at www.efixusers.com for lots of info and guides.

You can fix the processor info in smbios.plist using TextEdit so that it shows correctly (this is largely a "cosmetic" problem), but be sure to check and see what the other info is in System Profiler. If the CPU detection is dead wrong, it could affect installs of various things.

iStat has a new version that is supposed to report temps more correctly, but it uses a different sensor set in the chip than the Win utilities do, which could account for the differences you're seeing. This is a particular issue with quad core CPUs.

Asere's v1.1.9 bootloader, based on Chameleon, does detect CPUs and memory correctly, which is a big help -- see it at efixusers. There is also a DSDT patched for your mainboard there as well, which is good to have.
