Classic CraigsList spammer and their "Paypal" email
#1
Selling a neighbor's 13" new MacBook Pro on CraigsList and got what I felt was a spammer's email, asking in that weird spammer English that he'd send money to Paypal, blah, blah. I decided to see what spammers' methods were like these days, so I responded and said, sure, here's my Paypal link, go ahead and pay.

Ten minutes later, I get what looks like a Paypal email, saying voilĂ , a bunch of money just landed in my Paypal account. And easy slide to Mail's View Menu: Message: Long Headers reveals that it's obviously not from Paypal. (see image below).

Still. I can see how some people get caught by this stuff. If I had the time, I'd play with him a bit more, and muck up his day. Chances are, though, they know when they're caught, and I'd only waste my time.
