I was in a situation yesterday that brought this home to me: we were cavorting in a field where my kids were playing in the sprinklers and I had an older Olympus P/S that is rather lousy. I captured the moment, but not in a high quality way. The shots, had they been better, would have been suitable for a calendar or enlargements. a camera that I can throw into my bag and not worry too much about.
I'm looking to replace my lost but beloved Fuji V10 with something like that but better. Am I destined to get a Canon Sxx like everyone in this position or is there something with more control and great low-light capability? I'm willing to sacrifice video and all that other stuff.
