Paver stone cement. An inch or two too large, possible to chip a bit off?

I have a path of cement pavers next to the house maybe they are 2'x2'. Once i put the gate back on the fence, the paver sticks out too far. The cement square is heavy. I dont want to add smaller pavers because they might move and this path will have to have consistent snow removal. Is there a way to just chip off a strip without it looking too bad?
Or any ideas? Thx
