Called Brita and they disavow any defective filters. They say you have to shake the filter or squeeze at the sides while running under the faucet to remove any air pockets. I will try that on my fourth filter (returned the other three to the store) if it doesn't flow right. According to them it isn't supposed to flow freely (huh?). I suggest that they post their "remedies" online.
