After my cataracted lenses were replaced, many blue things, including blue skies, especially late in the day, were an intensely violet color that I found very strange. My cataracted lenses caused things to appear yellowish-brown, and they were that way for quite a while -- the first time I noticed this was when looking at an 18% gray card used in photography for setting exposure, that I knew for sure wasn't yellowish -- it took about a month for my vision to slowly accomodate to the new clear lenses and to stop seeing the ultra-violet effect.
