He was a pioneer, a man who brought monumental change to the world

Oh jeez. I was never that interested in physics, but shouldn't there be some natural limit to ignorance?

If the universe is infinite, then there is an infinite amount of information that could theoretically be known. That means that there could be an infinite amount of information that isn't known. That means there could be no natural limit to Dakota's ignorance. He could be infinitely ignorant since having even a bit of knowledge doesn't make the infinite amount of knowledge not known less infinite. Thus, his ignorance would also be infinite.

But lest we get too much pleasure contemplating Dakota's infinite ignorance, we need to acknowledge that no human has more than an infinitesimal fraction of the potentially infinite amount of information that could be known. We are all, in effect, infinitely ignorant. It's just that some individuals' infinite ignorance is a bit smaller than other individuals' infinite ignorance.
