"For a single cut I would just get a brick chisel. Like Rudie said, just mark your cut line with a straight line. The idea is to create a stress fracture so the paver splits naturally along the line. I would first score it at each end of the cut and then work from the ends towards the middle. Remember that you are just creating a scored line with the chisel and not cutting through. It should fracture and split before you get too deep."
"You might also check to see if local big box rents a paver/brick splitter. It is like a giant tile cutter. It scores the line and then snaps it. They may cut one at the store for you for free."
