Three sentence movie review "Star Trek Insurrection"
#18
Shatner offered to pay for half of a "Director's Edition" with updated SFX and recut. Paramount said no. The Director's Edition of "The Motion Picture" is better than the original, only on DVD, no Blu. Shame.
I rate them VI, II, IV, First Contact, III, 2009, I, Generations, Nemesis, Insurrection.

Insurrection would have been a good TV episode. It was trying to be a light-hearted romp (live IV). I am currently watching DS9, and Insurrection is set smack dab in the middle of the war, but barely mentions it. Whle DS9 was doing "Tora Tora Tora & Midway" Insurrection was "South Pacific". It could have been so much more!

Here is a good read on Insurrection, by the late Michael Piller, who wrote it!
