As a producer at a network affiliate, I have to agree. Local weather coverage has become ridiculous.
The wind kicks up, a raindrop falls or a cloud appears and newsrooms go nuts trying to get on the air first. Then they spend the next three days blabbing on how "up-to-the-minute" they are.
And it's all encouraged by the paid consultants...
